The initiative

Impacto Verde is a collaborative initiative aimed at promoting the transition toward sustainable development in the North of Argentina, through the design, implementation and scaling of solutions that link the environment and production through innovation.

Our territorial approach is through the concept of Collective Landscapes, which represent the complex interactions between physical and natural space with human experiences, serving as a reflection of the shared identity of a community in relation to its environment.

How we do it?

Adopting the principles of the Protected Productive Landscape program, Collective Landscape models emerge as spaces for the management and resilience of ecosystems. These models articulate an agenda of shared responsibility among the public, private, civil society, and other sectors, aiming to enhance the conservation, production, and social equity, contributing to the sustainability of the Northern Region of Argentina.

Based on the opportunities and challenges facing the region, Impacto Verde works to make visible, position and transform the North of Argentina

Our efforts focus on structuring territorial innovation systems that are competitive, inclusive and respectful of the natural and cultural conditions of local communities, in order to generate incentives and concrete opportunities for public and private investment in local communities.

To achieve this, we collaboratively design and implement concrete, nature-based solutions tailored to local and global needs and opportunities while encouraging scaling and replicability.

We aspire to make the region a beacon of opportunities for those who wish to contribute to the sustainable development agenda locally and globally.

We highlight, enhance and make visible the differential attributes of the North of Argentina, showing the world the local efforts of conservation and adaptation to climate change, sustainable and climate-smart production, and social inclusion and development.

In this way, we seek to mobilize public and private wills and investments, both national and international, toward innovative business models and positive impact that are deployed in the region.

Impacto Verde seeks to value the natural, economic and cultural resources of the region, especially promoting the emergence of sustainable solutions and businesses based on the potential of each territory.

We emphasize the importance of conserving and regenerating ecosystems and biodiversity by promoting the adoption of sustainable and innovative practices of production and management of natural resources, and the development of business models with positive impact that avoid or reverse, at the same time, situations of overexploitation and environmental deterioration.

Multisectoral approach

We establish links between various social actors, public and private, who contribute knowledge, experience and resources to design a joint and innovative action agenda that contributes to the development of a dynamic, competitive, inclusive and sustainable regional economy.

We support the conservation of nature and promote sustainable production in order to position the North of Argentina as a space of opportunities for economic, environmental and social development at local, national and international levels.
